Microsoft Access

The banner shows at the top of the page when Griffin31 isn’t connected to your Microsoft tenant, or is missing a permission or a role it needs. It says:

Microsoft access is incomplete. Some checks are paused until the required Microsoft access is restored.

It also shows when Griffin31 last checked the access.

  • In Microsoft Entra: you need an active Global Administrator or Privileged Role Administrator role.
  • In Griffin31: the banner’s buttons show for the Admin and User roles.
Button When you see it What it does
Grant consent API permissions are missing, or Griffin31 isn’t connected Opens Microsoft so an administrator can grant consent
Assign Global Reader The Global Reader role is missing Opens the Resolve Microsoft access steps
Resolve access Both are missing Opens the Resolve Microsoft access steps
Check again Always Checks the access again

If the Microsoft consent is cancelled, or you don’t have the right Entra role, Griffin31 shows: Microsoft consent was cancelled or you lack the required Entra roles.

This window lists only the actions your tenant still needs.

A Microsoft administrator must grant consent for the required API permissions. Select Grant consent and approve in Microsoft.

Assign the Global Reader role to the Griffin31 enterprise application in Microsoft Entra. The window shows the application’s exact name.

  1. Open Microsoft Entra Roles and administrators.
  2. Find and select Global Reader.
  3. Select Add assignments, then Select members.
  4. Find the Griffin31 application, then select Next and Assign.

The window has an Open Microsoft Entra link that takes you to the roles page.

When you’re done, select Check access.

  • If everything is in place, you see Microsoft access verified. and the banner goes away.
  • If not, you see Microsoft access is still incomplete. Finish the missing steps and check again.
